In addition to receiving regular clinical care, patients within the Cognitive Neurology Unit have the opportunity to participate in research studies for individuals with different neurological conditions.
Our clinicians are involved in a variety of clinically-driven investigations to further improve our understanding and treatment of patients we see including:
- Exploring new therapies
- Understanding implications of neurological illness and cognitive dysfunction affecting skills in everyday life (such as driving ability)
- Identifying factors contributing to neurological and cognitive symptoms
- Characterizing and understanding the underlying causes of impairment and neuropathology in different neurological conditions
