Brief Narrative:
Shane came to medicine by way of the research lab, where he studied the developmental biology of the insulin producing cells of the pancreas. In medical school he found particular inspiration and meaning in Psychiatry. He is committed to weaving neuroscience and the humanistic tradition to care for patients the way he would want a family member to be treated.

Research Interests:
Shane has a special interest in the neuropsychiatric presentations of patients with Multiple Sclerosis. He serves as an Assistant Editor at Harvard Review of Psychiatry.

Personal Interests/Hobbies:
Shane spends his free time playing squash and tennis, and reading.
